Day 1:
Departure from Windhoek to the North. Time permitting stop at Okahandja for a visit to the carvers market. Afterwards proceed to the famous Etosha National Park via Otjiwarongo. Lunch en route. Dinner / bed / breakfast at one of the three rest camps in the park or a lodge just outside the park.
Day 2 and 3:
Two full days of game viewing in the Etosha National Park. This park is one of the major sanctuaries for wildlife in Africa. The area was proclaimed a game reserve as far back as 1907. The size is 22,270 km² and it consists mainly of bush and grass savannah. This type of landscape provides excellent opportunities for game viewing at the numerous waterholes or in the open countryside. On both days there is a game-viewing drive after breakfast until late afternoon with a break for lunch. Dinner/ bed / breakfast at accommodation inside or just outside the park.
Day 4:
After breakfast we travel north towards Rundu on the Okavango River. Lunch packs en route. The landscape changes from sandy plains to dense forests. The river is dotted with traditional villages and locals can be seen fishing on the river. Dinner / bed / breakfast at Kaisosi River Lodge or other accredited lodge. Enjoy a sundowner on the Okavango River.
Day 5:
Today we proceed east into the Caprivi Strip as far as the Popa Falls near Bagani. Overnight at Nunda River Lodge. The afternoon is at leisure. There are various optional activities on offer, for example boat trips on the Okavango River. Dinner / bed / breakfast at Nunda River Lodge.
Day 6:
We spend another day at Nunda River Lodge with an opportunity to join an optional safari into Mahango National Park where hippos, elephants and antelopes can be seen. Dinner / bed / breakfast at Nunda River Lodge.
Day 7:
After breakfast we travel towards the central part of the Caprivi where we book in at Camp Kwando Tree House Lodge. Once more the afternoon is at leisure. You may want to join one of the many activities on offer or rather relax near the river and listen to the multitude of birds and the cry of the African Fish Eagle. Dinner / bed / breakfast at Camp Kwando.
Day 8:
We spend another day on the banks of the Kwando River. The activities on offer include boat trips and fishing trips, visits to a Traditional Village and Village Schools nearby as well as game drives. We recommend a game drive into Mudumu National Park. Four of the Big Five as well as crocodiles, hippos, blue wildebeest, bushbuck and antelope populate this park. Dinner / bed / breakfast at Camp Kwando.
Day 9:
Today we proceed into the most eastern part of the Caprivi Strip right up to the Zambezi River. Overnight at the Caprivi River Lodge on the outskirts of Katima Mulilo. Various activities can be booked through the lodge as for example Kayaking on the Zambezi River, fishing trips or a sundowner boat trip. Dinner / bed / breakfast at Caprivi River Lodge.
Day 10:
We rise early today for a visit to a world heritage site, the Victoria Falls. 10,000 cubic meters of water rush down the falls every second and many say that the falls are the most spectacular sight on earth. We spend 2 to 3 hours at the falls. Afterwards lunch will be taken at the fine Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. If time permits we pay a short visit to the local craft market before returning to our lodge in Katima Mulilo. Dinner / bed / breakfast at Caprivi River Lodge.
Day 11:
Today we travel back from Katima Mulilo to Rundu. Lunch en route at the Popa Falls. Dinner / bed / breakfast at Hakusembe River Lodge on the Okavango River. We have a final opportunity for a spectacular sundowner on the River.
Day 12:
We drive south via Grootfontein to our last overnight stop at Guest House Seidarap. It has a beautiful garden and the name “Seidarap” fittingly spells “paradies’ (paradise) backwards. Alternatively we may stay at the pleasant Guest Farm Ghaub which used to be a missionary station in colonial times..
Day 13:
After breakfast return to Windhoek via Otavi and Otjiwarongo where we stop for a lunch break. We continue to Okahandja where, time permitting, we may visit the graves of the great Herero chiefs, and the old cemetery with graves of members of the German “Schutztruppe”. Arrive in Windhoek in the late afternoon.

Not included: Expenses of a personal nature, e.g. drinks, lunches and telephone calls as well as tips in the restaurants.
